Lister Tail Tractor

Here is a project I had a lot of fun customizing and painting. The actual locomotive was built by Christian Cenac. It was an absolute thrill and pleasure receiving this engine in the mail. Christian is a very talented modeler and has published three books so far, with a fourth close to completion. Here is the link to Christian's site. If you do not own a copy of "The 60cm Military Railways of the WWI in France" or “K1” 1st Garrett in Tasmania, order one today. They are designed with the modeler in mind.
There was very little that needed to be done to the loco. The only details that were added were solely cosmetic. Engine details, hood locks, figure and all tools and accessories along with a coat or two of paint. The engine is built around the Aristocraft short wheelbase motor block. The motor block has had Sierra Valley Wheels put on, replacing the original 1/24 scale wheels with 1/13.7 wheels. The Locomotive is powered by a trailing skip equipped with an electronic speed control ESC and batteries. A truly beautiful engine that spans two continents.
