Two Footers are a wonderfully unique breed of locomotives. You either love them or not. With the narrow confines of this gauge there are what I feel are strikingly wonderful critters. One of my favorites is the Fordson powered critters. The Fordson motors were appealing in several ways, one being the fact that it ran on paraffin fuel and only used gasoline to get it started. (this is probably what led to the expression "it costs more to start your engine than keep it running". Some of the builders that used the Fordson engine were; Planet, Hudson, Brookville, and I am sure several others. The first project I am starting with is a basic Hudson variation and will post progress pictures of the engine parts as molds are completed. I will also post the cad files as they are completed. My plan is to use a combination of machined brass and cast resin parts.
